LITTLETON—The Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) is expecting a busy campaign season with the ongoing race for the presidency, U.S. senate and a governor’s race that is heating up closer to home.
“As one of the most picturesque towns in the North Country, Littleton is always a popular spot for political candidates to visit,” explains Executive Director Mollie White. “Due to our position in the community, the Chamber is frequently asked to host tours, but we’re doing things a little differently this time around.”
As requests come in, the Chamber plans to pair political candidates with business members who will act as the host around town. White continued, “We [LACC] are a non-partisan organization. As such, our role is not to be front and center, but to provide opportunities for our small business owners to get face-to-face access with the influencers in the state and express their thoughts and concerns.”
Political candidates are looking to connect with locals and be seen doing it, providing a great photo opportunity. Much of the Chamber’s work revolves around positioning the Littleton area as a destination to visit. According to White, “We love showing the rest of New Hampshire and our country just what the Littleton area has to offer.”
