LITTLETON—Local home wares store, Nest of Littleton has recently been named New Hampshire Magazine’s Best of N.H. 2016 Gift Shop. According to owner Dave Ernsberger, the win is not only a feat for Nest, but one for Littleton as well. “It’s mostly shops in towns with a large population that win,” Ernsberger explained. “I know that because of Littleton’s small size, this award is extraordinary.”
Ernsberger attributes the win to his dedicated staff and devoted customer base, most of who are from central New England and afar. “We reached out through e-mail campaigns and our loyalty program, ‘Feather Your Nest,’ and people responded. They voted” Ernsberger stated. “Best of N.H. didn’t know who we were in the beginning, but after our votes kept rolling in, they soon found out.”
It’s the wares of Nest that draws customers, and why the shop’s dedicated fan base launched them to the number one spot. “I sell products that inspire me,” Ernsberger reveals. “My customers are buying for the person who has everything, and they know they can rely on Nest to have something unique.”
Since opening Memorial Day weekend in 2012, Nest has experienced tremendous growth. With a goal to impact Main Street and serve as an asset to the community, Ernsberger is hoping the award will be another reason for people to see what’s important about Littleton. “If more people come to Littleton because we received this honor, that’s the best thing to come of it.”
Since 2000, New Hampshire Magazine has polled and published the picks of its readers and editors in categories from best cupcakes to best fine dining. Voting in these categories takes place each spring.
