BOSTON—Curated lunch delivery service, Rootastes is thrilled to announce their expansion into the metropolitan Boston area. Rootastes’ mission is to promote sustainability through healthy corporate lunch consumption to foster a more positive and productive work environment.
Rootastes offers a fully customizable lunch bowl with grains, protein, fiber, vegetables, and house made sauces. Their popular Heart of the Roots sides include the Rootastes Refreshing Salad, Corn Edamame Elote, and Roasted Spring, which contains butternut squash and Brussels sprouts.
Since opening in early April, Rootastes has serviced the Sommerville and Cambridge areas and has catered for HubSpot, Converse, Akamai Technology, and more. Customers have raved over not only the savory tastes of their lunches, but their freshness as well. A Yelp! reviewer praised Rootastes for providing only the best ingredients and lunches, stemming from their standard of sourcing from local farms whenever possible. Customer service was also well reviewed.
Rootastes began with the desire to do good. Co-founders Mint Pattanan, Naphat Chaiparinya, and Jeep Nuttachai were disappointed with how America does lunch. “It’s rush, rush, rush all the time,” noted Pattanan. “Companies and employees feel that if they skimp on lunch they will be more productive. This is absolute fallacy.”
Chaiparinya echoes Pattanan’s views, noting the importance of not only slowing down and enjoying lunch, but choosing a healthy one. “Lunch is essential in getting employees through the afternoon. If they opt for fast food or a meal with few nutrients, they are going to have a hard time making it to 5 p.m.,” she explained. “Our goal at Rootastes is to offer the convenience of a quick lunch packed with flavor and nutrients delivered directly to corporate offices.”
Rootastes works completely online. Simply choose what you’d like from their frequently changing menu by 3 p.m. the day before and lunch will be delivered directly to your office between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
“It’s fast food with heart,” described Pattanan. “Our menu changes based on what our local suppliers are growing on their farms, so there’s always something new. We also strive to offer a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and Paleo options.”
In the short time they’ve been open, Rootastes has revolutionized how Greater Boston does lunch. Make lunch hour your happy hour and order on their website or through email and Facebook chat. Lunches are between $9.50 and $15 per employee and there is a minimum order of five. Sample lunches are available for interested companies.
Rootastes is a curated lunchtime delivery service providing healthful, globally inspired meals to corporate offices in Greater Boston.
